Saint Peter’s Men’s Basketball on Historic NCAA Run!

The Saint Peter’s University Peacocks are making HISTORY in the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball tournament! The Peacocks (21-11), led by Head Coach Shaheen Holloway, won the 2022 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and earned a bid in the NCAA Tournament as a 15-seed and faced 2-seed Kentucky in the first round. The Peacocks shocked the world with a win over 2-seed Kentucky in OT, and competed and won against 7-seed Murray State, earning a bid in the Sweet Sixteen for the first time in program history!

The Hamilton Park Summer League has had some players compete in the league that are currently on the Saint Peter’s roster: Doug Edert (Bergen Catholic), Isiah Dasher (Ferris), and Daryl Banks III (The Patrick School). So proud of these guys and the Peacocks!

The Peacocks will continue their historic NCAA run this Friday, March 25th, against 3-seed Purdue! The Hamilton Park Summer League and the City of Jersey City wishes the Peacocks the best of luck in the tournament. We are rooting for you guys and are proud of your success! 🙂
