In Loving Memory of Tom Konchalski

The Hamilton Park Summer League mourns the loss of Tom Konchalski. The news of Konchalski’s passing has shocked the Hamilton Park community and the basketball world entirely. Konchalski, 74, has dedicated his life to the game of basketball, spending 43 years scouting high school athletes locally and nationally.

A true class act, Konchalski has impacted the lives of everyone he met. For everyone that has crossed paths with him, his biggest gesture was his firm handshake and a loving smile, and he would always carry a pen and paper for note-taking. He would be on the sidelines, observing every little detail, scouting every player, and showed respect to each individual after the games. Konchalski would travel to every game he could possibly attend by local transportation. His dedication was unmatched and showed what basketball meant to him. His life and legacy will forever be remembered, and he will truly be missed.

The Hamilton Park Summer League and the entire basketball community sends their love and condolences to the Konchalski Family. Please check out some articles submitted by the New York Post and NJ.com about Konchalski’s life and legacy posted in the links below:
